About Me *

I’m a small business owner, cyclist and multidisciplinary artist based near Asheville, North Carolina since 2010.

I started working with metal in high school, when I also cast crowns and bridges at a dental laboratory. My focus in metalsmithing continued in college along with glass and textile design; I earned a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

After undergrad I took what I thought would be a short break to race bicycles…Cycling ended up taking me around the country and world at the professional level. For beyond a decade I did a lot of coaching, guiding and even won a National Championship while I started my own bookkeeping firm in 2017 (which is still going strong!).

I knew my time at that level of competition would be limited and always hoped to return to art when that chapter was finished. Since COVID I have slowly worked my way back as I participated in various workshops including Penland School of Craft and Shakerag Workshops to reconnect with art making in metal and weaving.

The aftermath of Hurricane Helene made me reevaluate my priorities and encouraged me to take real action towards my dreams. I’ve committed to a consistent art practice and have found solace, community, and inspiration.
